Camper Blazes

It was an unbelievable scene.

After a photoshoot yesterday, I was riding shotgun as hubby navigated us home. About 20 minutes from the house, we saw smoke on the horizon. My camera was on my neck. I began shooting through the driver’s window, over my husband’s shoulder. In this geographic area, it is not uncommon for farmers/ranchers to burn brush. I assumed that is what I would see. Imagine the surprise when we topped the hill and saw this. It was an unbelievable scene.

People were helping. There was no indication anyone had been harmed in the fire. We saw the first responders en route within minutes of leaving the scene.

My camera was on my neck...I began shooting.
